California • Sebastopol • Sonoma Valley

At Small Vines, Paul and Kathryn Sloan crafts exquisite Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from some of California’s most meticulously farmed and unique, high-density vineyards. Selecting on only sensational properties with low-vigor soils in cool, coastal climates- they have been developing their Estate Vineyards since 1999. Each exceptional site, distinguishes itself from the other by creating captivating, soil-driven wines from the Russian River and Sonoma Coast. It is on this property that they live and work happily alongside their young family. At any time, the Sloan children, Dakota and Savannah, can be found running through the organic vine rows, driving a tractor, sampling the fruit, working the sorting table or even helping pack wine. They love to work with their “Mom and Dad”- and even the grandparents are happy to lend a helping hand at harvest time. Small Vines personifies the picture-perfect family run boutique winery and should be on the list of must-see small production wineries in Sonoma.

It aims for a bright, restrained and complex style, which it achieves here with aplomb.
